Volunteer Program

Support Airmen and Enhance the Air Force Mission

Volunteer Program

The base-wide Volunteer Resource Program is designed to connect service members, spouses and other family members with volunteer agencies who are ready to recruit, train, place and recognize volunteer services. Volunteers experience new things while giving back to the community and/or helping others. Volunteers have a tremendous impact on the well-being of Air Force communities, and the day-to-day lives of military members and families world-wide.

Please contact M&FRC for more information on volunteer opportunities here at Hill Air Force Base.

Volunteer Opportunities

If you are looking for additional opportunities in the neighboring communities, great resources include:

  • JustServe.org – JustServe does the work of researching organizations, finding service projects, coordinating schedules, and bringing local service projects to your fingertips. All you have to do is register to join a community of volunteers who are already changing the world.
  • USO Utah – Since 1941, the USO has been the nation’s leading organization to serve the men and women in the U.S. military, and their families, throughout their time in uniform. From the moment they join, through their assignments and deployments, and as they transition back to their communities, the USO is always by their side.
  • Volunteer Match – Over the past 30 years, Idealist and VolunteerMatch have supported millions of people in their quest to build a better world, be it through a job, volunteer opportunity, or by working with neighbors to solve a local problem.
  • PointsofLight.org – Points of Light partners with nonprofits, companies and social impact leaders to galvanize volunteers to meet critical needs. As the world’s largest organization dedicated to increasing volunteer service, we engage nearly 4 million volunteers across 32 countries to create healthy, equitable communities where all can thrive.
  • American Red Cross Each day, thousands of people – people just like you – provide compassionate care to those in need. Our network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world.
  • Project One – When our Nation calls, we won’t have time to get ready. We must be ready. Creating and sustaining readiness requires focus that is enabled and enhanced when our military, civilians, and their families feel a sense of belonging and community. That is the goal of Project One.
