Welcome back to another post! It’s been a minute but I’m back with some exciting news! This time I’m not highlighting a facility for you guys. This time, I’m highlighting an upcoming event. That’s right! On August 9, from 1500 to 1700, we will be holding our ‘End of Summer Reading Celebration & Free School Supplies Pick Up’ at the Gerrity Memorial Library!
I know it’s sad that Summer is ending and that the new school year will be here. However, that is why we’re trying have some fun before you all go back. This event will have something for everyone; games, crafts, prizes, etc. And best of all, no registration is required. You can stop on by when you get a chance.
For all of our readers, I have a special surprise for you. I got ahold of Micky, our resident Library Technician, and she is willing to give us a sneak peek into the prizes that they have. For the kids, the grand prize is a season pass to Dinosaur Park in Ogden. Second place will receive four; one-day passes to Dinosaur Park. For teams, the grand prize are movie tickets and a gift card to a restaurant. Second place will receive some movie tickets. For adults, the grand prize gets a $100 Amazon gift card. Second place will receive a $50 gift Amazon gift card.
Besides giving away all these great prizes, we have other activities as well. We have events for people of all ages. You can paint a potter plant holder or you can make a suncatcher. All supplies for the activities will be provided. In addition, you can take home everything that you paint or make. Also, make sure you wear clothes that can get dirty.
Of course, as I mentioned earlier, we are giving away back to school supplies courtesy of Operation Homefront. We have all the things you need to return to school in style; notebooks, pens, pencils, markers, etc. Moreover, it’s free! So if you are looking to save some money or forgot some supplies, we’ve got you covered.
