Emissions Testing | $32.00 | Available Fri – Sun 1000-1330. Appointment only (801-777-3476). |
Lift Bays (2 or 4 post) | $7.50/hour | Includes: Tools, waste disposal & equipment use included in bay rental fee. |
Flat Bays (No Lift) | $5.50/hour | Includes: Tools, waste disposal & equipment use included in bay rental fee. |
Tire Machine/Balancer | $8.00 | 2 hour maximum on equipment use, does not require bay rental use. |
Tire Disposal Fee | $6/tire | Fee covers state disposal cost per tire disposed. |
Overnight Vehicle Storage (Lift Bay) | $10/night | Friday, Saturday & Sunday Rates $30 max weekend fee. ***Vehicles left in bay after business hours will be charged an overnight storage fee*** |
Parking Storage | $2/night | Overnight $14 weekly rate / $56 monthly rate (Note: ODR extended vehicle storage fee $35 monthly) |

Operating Practices
The Auto Hobby Shop is not to be confused with repair shops operated as revenue-producing activities by AAFES.
Use of shop equipment is by authorized shop personnel and trained customers only. All users must know how to safely operate equipment, what hazards exist, and what protective equipment they need and how to use it. In order to work in the shop, you must first get certification or recertification if needed. Certification is needed to understand shop policies and demonstrate safe operation of equipment. Please call (801) 777-3476 for more information.
Please Note: Certification is valid for one year and generally takes 20 to 30 minutes to complete. Tire change qualification may take up to one hour.
The Auto Hobby Shop offers State of Utah Emission and Safety Inspections for vehicles under 7800lbs. Please call Monday-Saturday 0800-1500 for an appointment. There is also an early bird drop off if needed. Patrons are required to bring their vehicle registration. Please call the Auto Shop at (801) 777-3476 for more details.
ODR
Lemon Lot
AUTOLOT is located in near the Skate Park located near Balmer and e Ave. (See Map Here) Vehicles must have an AF Form 1047, Automotive Craft Center Work and Parking. Permits are issued at Outdoor Recreation at a cost of $20 for vehicles under 17 feet or $25 for vehicles longer than 17 feet per 14-day period. A “For Sale” sign containing display permit information is furnished by Outdoor Recreation. The “For Sale” sign must be affixed to the vehicle so it is visible to inspection personnel. US Government duty phones will not be displayed on permits. The vehicles must be removed if the seller or representative will be unavailable for contact by a perspective buyer (TDY, leave, etc). When a waiting list exists, customers may display their vehicles for a maximum of 30 days within any 1-month period.

The shop offers Self-Help for repair and maintenance of privately owned Automobiles, Trucks, SUVs, and Motorcycles. The enclosed shop is a convenient work space for most automotive repair and service.
